At MACE, we believe every survivor deserves a path to safety—and every protector deserves access to tools that work. That’s why we offer two powerful scholarships designed to break down financial barriers and open new doors for healing, safety, and hope.
Whether you're a young person seeking healing through equine therapy or a survivor rebuilding after abuse and trafficking, these scholarships exist to support your next step forward.
The New Beginnings Scholarship Fund exists to provide critical support for both children and adults who have experienced abuse and trafficking. This scholarship is about more than aid—it’s about reclaiming safety, dignity, and the chance to begin again.
The New Beginnings Scholarship offers direct financial assistance to survivors in need of:
Legal support
Relocation aid
Basic living essentials
By removing immediate barriers to safety and stability, this fund helps survivors take the first steps toward rebuilding their lives with confidence and support.
When someone is ready to start over, they shouldn’t have to do it alone.
Your contributions help ensure they won’t have to.
The Ride Like Darne Scholarship Fund is a deeply personal initiative, created in honor of Darne Jackson—a young man whose life was forever changed by equine therapy.
As a child, Darne faced overwhelming challenges and found himself on a dangerous path. That all began to shift the day he met his first horse. Working with horses gave Darne purpose, direction, and the space to heal from the trauma of his early years.
Equine therapy didn’t just change Darne’s life—it helped shape the man he was becoming. Tragically, his journey was cut short when he lost his life while heroically helping a friend in danger.
Now, Darne’s mother is carrying forward his story by ensuring other children and families have access to the same life-changing opportunity that gave her son hope.
The Ride Like Darne Scholarship offers financial support for youth seeking healing through equine therapy—providing a path forward, one ride at a time.
